Overview of Caregiver Resources
This section provides information and links to resources and services that may help you as a caregiver.
Online and Phone Support
You can access the ACGA's blog and discussion forums on this page. We also have links to and are proud to support Care-ring Voice Network (national, bilingual telephone network) and Caregiver Connect (national online discussion forums).
ACGA Newsletter
The ACGA produces a newsletter four times per year. It contains useful information, interesting articles, and, most importantly, perspectives from caregivers themselves.
Publications
This page provides access to papers and presentations that the ACGA produces for caregivers, professionals, the general public, and special groups. We also have links to publicly available reports and other documents developed by governments and organizations at the regional, provincial, national, and international levels.
Information Sheets
We have an assortment of fact and information sheets produced by the ACGA and other organizations that provide helpful advice for caregivers.
Links
This page provides a list of links to organizations, service providers, and other resources that are of interest to caregivers.
Caregiver Services in Your Area
You can click on our map of Alberta to find services provided by public and non-profit service providers in your area. We depend on caregivers and people who care about them to let us know about available resources so we can make sure this page is accurate and up-to-date.
Business Supporters Program
Businesses offering services of value to caregivers are welcome to show their support for the ACGA and the caregivers for whom we work. You can find a listing of Business Supporters of the ACGA on this page.
If you have a business and are interested in supporting the ACGA, please see Corporate Support.
Share Your Experiences
The ACGA advocates for caregivers in Alberta by bringing forward specific examples of the challenges that caregivers face. We strongly believe that the most compelling arguments we can present to government and service providers are the experiences of caregivers themselves.
